Administer Advocate Ultra Chew orally once a month, preferably on the same date, with or following food. This palatable chew is typically accepted by hand; if not, it may be hidden in food.
Remove the chew from the blister pack immediately before use. Ensure the entire dose is consumed by observing your dog for several minutes after administration. If the full dose is not eaten, redose as soon as possible.
As with any tick product, daily searching for paralysis ticks is recommended. While safe for heartworm-infected dogs, it is recommended that dogs 6 months of age or older be tested for existing infections before starting treatment. Advocate Ultra Chew contains lotilaner, moxidectin, pyrantel (as embonate), and praziquantel, and is available in five strengths based on body weight.
For dogs weighing above 45 kg bodyweight an appropriate combination of chews matching the weight of the dog may be used, providing the minimum dose rate of 20 mg/kg lotilaner, 0.02 mg/kg moxidectin, 5 mg/kg pyrantel and 5 mg/kg praziquantel is met. Do not split chews. Refer to the product leaflet for full instructions.
